Ok, serious discussion time.

I’m going dark for a while.

I know, but it’s true. Let me explain...

The first question you may find at tip of your tongue is ‘But, why Mike?!” And don’t get me wrong, it’s a perfectly valid question.

To be clear, I’m not disappearing forever, but I do need to take some focused time in order to get some very important things under control in my life. And they need to be my only priority right now.

If you’ve been reading my posts for the last few months, you’ve probably noticed a trend. I’m taking on a lot; too much in fact. I’ve discussed at length my issues with balance and searching for the harmony across all facets of my life.

Let’s just say that the rug was swept out from under me recently and now I need to hit pause in order to fix the issues that brought me to that place at a fundamental level. I’ll be evaluating everything and only let those back into my life that align with who I want to be moving forward; building a strong foundation at the same time.

Unfortunately, I can’t do that while my mind is focused on Evolving Architect, hence a break from the blog, video, and audio content.

There will be one final (for the time being) post out on Tuesday. It’s my #ArchiTalks contribution for the month of April. I hope that it gives you the courage to let go when everything else in your life is telling you that you need to. It may be the single most important post I’ve written to date.

It has always been my pleasure to serve you and I hope that you can understand that I don’t take this break lightly.

I love helping you and others take your careers to the next level through everything I do at Evolving Architect. I know that the future will be bright, but only if I take this time now for myself.

As Zach Braff said in the movie Garden State, “This isn’t a conversation about this being over. I’m not, like, putting a period on the end of this… I’m putting, like, an ellipsis on it.”

Truly, thank you for all of your support. I appreciate all that you and the other Evolving Architects out there have done for me.

The journey isn't over. I'm just pulling off to the side of the road to rest.

Thanks for being awesome!
