Today I have some really exciting news!
As you may remember from a few weeks ago, I had mentioned that there were some major updates coming your way.
Over the past couple months, I’ve been working with AIA Buffalo/WNY (a Chapter of the American Institute of Architects) to create a partnership that will support educational content for its members and for the Evolving Architect community.
HOW DID THIS COME ABOUT?
I’ve mentioned before in previous posts that I’ve been an avid supporter of the American Institute of Architects for several years now. I’ve been fortunate enough to have served as a Board Member for five years (two of those as Secretary). In that time, I have pushed to improve the community of Architects in Buffalo– running architectural events and seminars, co-founding the Emerging Professionals committee, and advocating for emerging professionals across the state of New York.
In order to extend our Evolving Architect community to more eager professionals like yourself, I reached out to AIA Buffalo/WNY on behalf of Evolving Architect and advocated for the positive opportunities that a partnership could provide for everyone involved.
As it stands, AIA Buffalo/WNY will co-sponsor educational programming with Evolving Architect and promote our community when it makes sense to.
HOW WILL IT BENEFIT YOU?
If you don’t actually live in Buffalo, don’t worry. This partnership will benefit everyone thanks to the power of the world-wide web.
Gotta love the internet sometimes.
This partnership will allow me more opportunities to bring higher-quality content to you on a regular basis.
I’m currently in the middle of creating content for you that will take Evolving Architect to the next level. I’ll be focusing a bit more on audio and video integration, making it easier for you to get the content however you want to experience it.
The first endeavor in this partnership is a fantastic online webinar entitled “ARE 4.0 to 5.0.” This is just the first of a potential new series, “Workshop Wednesdays,” where I’ll bring a topic of discussion to you for about an hour (typically on the last Wednesday of the month) to help you evolve your career.
The first workshop, “ARE 4.0 to 5.0,” will discuss the exam transition from 4.0 to 5.0, how it directly affects you, and how to best complete your A.R.E. sections moving forward. If you’re still struggling with the Architect Registration Exam, or know someone who is, this webinar is for you. The transition from 4.0 to 5.0 is happening on November 1st and you need to know exactly what that means for the ARE candidates in your life.
This is just the first of a potential new series of webinars on everything from the ARE to career building, software tutorials, portfolio creation and more. This content will be free to all who sign up.
You can register HERE to claim your spot.
I’m happy to bring this new type of content to you and hope that you’ll join me on Wednesday July 27th at 8pm.
Know that this is just the tip of the iceberg and more announcements are coming soon!
