Evolving Architect Partners with Architizer

If this past year has taught me anything, it’s that opportunities can appear from almost anywhere and in any form.

I am extremely proud to announce that I have been invited to beGIN writing as an ‘Influencer’ for Architizer

If you’re unfamiliar with Architizer, it’s basically the largest database of architecture projects and products on the internet. Architects from every part of the globe are not only welcome to post their projects there, but very much encouraged to do so.

From the early days of Architizer in the late 2000s, the site has become a place for architecture of all shapes and sizes to be celebrated and discussed.

As boy wonder Bjarke Ingels of BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group) noted, ‘Architizer is the architecture community of the future.’

I concur.

Architizer also has a fantastic editorial blog that features ideas, opinions, and guides by some of the most talented writers I now have the privilege of knowing personally.

I am truly honored and humbled by the possibility to write on such a medium.

Don’t worry, I’m not going anywhere.

What this really means is that I’ll be able to reach so many more awesome people just like you who want to share in the conversation.

Basically, several of the pieces I’ve written on Evolving Architect have been selected to be posted on a regular basis on Architizer.

If you’re already an avid reader of what I’ve written, I encourage you to check in on Architizer from time to time to see the new formats of the posts. They’ve been wonderfully curated by the friendly editorial staff there.

In case you’re wondering, some of the posts have indeed already gone live. Some of the articles include personal favorites such as:

Becoming an Architect

6 Essential Design Programs Every Architect Should Master

10 Reasons Architects Should Play More Video Games

If you’re looking to see all of the posts that have gone up on the site, you’ll find them in my bio on Architizer.

Something I didn't really anticipate - how many people would actually be able to read the words that seem to just bumble their way out of my head.

It's a very unreal feeling when you see that something you created has been viewed by tens of thousands of people.

Yes, a very humbling feeling.

I wanted to share this with you this week because I think part of the journey that's important to acknowledge from time to time is how far we've come.

As you know, last week was a bit of an unexpected hiccup. It's good to keep in mind that it's not always so bad.

This is a very exciting step for Evolving Architect that wouldn’t have been possible without showing up again and again. It wouldn’t have been possible without my amazing support system.

It wouldn’t have been possible without awesome friends like you.

Thanks for being awesome!

There's another fun Workshop Wednesday coming soon!

December 21, 2016 / 8PM-9PM EST

In “Architecture Portfolio Fundamentals,” we’ll look at what it takes to build a basic portfolio and the reasons why you should have one (even if you’re not actively pursuing other opportunities).

Thanks for reading! If you enjoyed it, please pass it on to someone you know. It would mean a lot to me.
